Found bus token machine in clean out of deceased bus driver’s home
Some pieces of garbage aren’t worth saving, but this bus fare machine was the token piece of trash.
Two years ago, my crew and I were hired to clean out a bus driver’s home after he died. When I saw this bus token machine, I had to have it immediately. The driver received the machine at a retirement party, one of his relatives said.
People always ask me, “Why do you save this stuff?” I always tell them the same thing: It’s a vision. I save things to restore history — to display it.
