Well, these celebrities had to.
Four years ago, in an interior demolition job on the North Shore of Long Island, I found this old scrapbook of celebrities. Inside, I found professionally taken headshots and autographs of stars like Olivia Newton John, John Travolta, Tony Danza, Brian Kerwin and Scott Baio.

The home had belonged to a family, who had sold the house and left some personal belongings behind. I would imagine that this scrapbook belonged to a young teenage girl in the 1970s, who admired these young actors and actresses at the time. But, after careful observation, I realized that many of the John Hancocks in the back of the book were fake. The handwriting for a lot of the signatures appeared to be the same, and were probably the result of the young girl being creative and having some fun. Still, it’s amazing to find these kinds of items that are about four decades old.
