Where can you find oil for your car for 25 cents a quart? Apparently, on a rubbish removal job in East New York, Brooklyn.

An elderly woman lived on Crescent Street in the Brooklyn neighborhood. She was born and raised in the house, and later took it over as her own. It was almost like a cave, because you had to walk down a flight of steps to go through the front door, and her only windows were level with the Brooklyn sidewalk. When she was 85 years old, her mobility was slowly deteriorating, so she decided to move to a condo in Queens, putting her right on the borderline with Brooklyn.

The woman’s lawyer advised her to call DiMola Bros residential estate cleanout service to completely remove all of the garbage in the house. Of course, my crew and I took the rubbish removal job. In the backyard, in the shed, which was nearly collapsing after enduring years of water damage, I saw this oil can on one of the shelves. It had to have been there for decades, as it was so dusty and dirty that the label was hardly visible. Now, it’s got a lifelong home in my garage.
