Rubbish crew finds Hollywood talent in garbage in NYC
Sometime ago, while loading the garbage truck, I came across some black-and-white photos, set them aside, and completely forgot about them — until just a few days ago. I must have put them behind the driver’s seat of the truck when I was cleaning up garbage in NYC because I recently found them when I was cleaning out the truck.
I had originally saved the larger one with the guy’s face on it because it’s a great black-and-white photo. It’s a head shot for an agency. In the bottom right-hand corner of the picture, it says, “Skipsey, Hollywood, Calif.” Pictures like these are usually used when someone is going on auditions or trying to get an agent for something like acting or modeling. In this case, it looks like this guy was thanking people for their generosity (it looks like it could be his parents). I would like to find out who this “kool kat” is!
Now, the next photo I found (shown here) shows a great-looking dame with an elderly couple next to her. Notice the older woman mini top hat with hatpins in it. I turned the picture over and it says, “Mother Jay, Father Sam” and then it says, “Jean Parker.” I typed Jean Parker’s name into the search engine on the Internet and found out that she was a famous actress in the 1940s. She passed away in 2005.
Because the pictures were found together and they seem to share features, could the “kool kat” and the “great-looking dame” be related?
Garbage-picking never gets boring!
