DiMola finds vintage 2-liter Coca-Cola bottle buried in NY sea of clutter
In a small basement of a small home that sits quietly in the heart of Queens is a mess so big that only a company like DiMola Bros. could begin to take it on.
It’s filled to the brim with trash (and some treasure) that hadn’t been touched in well over a decade: an old mop, some sweaters, snow boots, a fan, a refinished chair, a knee brace, a vintage refrigerator, some spray paint, an old scale, a milk crate, and so much more.
But, like most big piles of garbage, this one surprised me with a vintage 2-liter Coca-Cola green glass bottle that feels like it weighs more than me. You can see in the photos that I found it in the milk crate. And whenever I find an item like this, I can’t help but wonder why it was saved. And if it was saved for a reason, then why did it live in a pile of trash?
Just a bit of online research tells me that these bottles do sell online on auction sites, such as eBay, for anywhere from $2 for one to $26. Check out where I actually found the bottle in the photos below:

You called the refrigerator found in Queens an icebox. It’s not. That is the name of its predecessor — a wooden box with 4 compartments to which the ice man delievered ice every day or sy.
Thanks Patricia!
