Ridgewood Rubbish Removal Company Provides Interesting Venue for Treasure Hunting TV Series

A little while back, I was visited at my Dimola Bros shop by Shaun Hatton and Bohus Blahut, from FYI’s new show, Vintage Tech Hunters.   The show follows Shaun and Bohus as they scour North America, rummaging through flea markets, warehouses, basements and yes, even a rubbish removal company’s shop, hoping to find vintage toys and gadgets they can buy and refurbish for a low price, then sell online to the highest bidder.

I had a great time talking to the guys and sharing stories about how you can find treasures in someone else’s trash.  Meanwhile, they checked out my collection of salvaged antique items and found a few interesting gems.

Vintage Tech Hunters originally aired on Discovery Canada, and is now seen on FYI Channel on Fridays at 10PM.  Our story appears in Episode 13 of Season 1, titled “Get Lit.”  Tune in to see what treasures they found right here in Ridgewood.
